Professor Schilling received Bavaria's Constitution Medal

The Parliament of Bavaria recognizes with its Constitutional Medal Professor Schilling's contributions!

Professor Schilling's contributions to initiate innovative Space Technology Curriculla at University Würzburg , such as SpaceMaster and Satellite Technology, but also his pioneering work on small satellites including the launch of Germany's first pico-satellite UWE-1 in 2005 to optimize parameters for Internet from Space have been rewarded with the Constitution Medal from the State of Bavaria. He initiated 2007 the independant research institute Zentrum for Telematik, one of the worldwide leading institutions on multi-satellite systems,  as demonstrated by the four NetSat-satellites for self-organisation of optimum observation configurations (launched 2020). Excellent economic perspectives are predicted for the current activities for a "research factory on small satellites". The benefits for Bavaria of these exceptional contributions are acknowledged by this medal.
