The Natural Language Processing 1 module teaches foundations in the following areas: Basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of natural language processing (NLP). Classical problems of word processing and information extraction. Methods and algorithms for their solution and their practical implementation. Upon completion, students have the theoretical and practical knowledge of typical procedures and algorithms in the field of NLP. They are able to solve practical problems with the help of the methods taught. They have experience in the application or implementation of NLP algorithms.
Currently the module is taught through the lecture NLP and Text Mining (German: Sprachverarbeitung und Text Mining ). Information about the lecture can be found here.
