Declarative programming is an advanced paradigm for modeling and solving complex problems. This specification method attracted increased attention over the last decades, e.g., in the domains of databases, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, modeling and processing combinatorial problems, and for establishing systems for the Web.

DECLARE 2025 aims to promote the cross-fertilizing exchange of ideas and experiences among researches and students from the different communities interested in the foundations, applications, and combinations of high-level, declarative programming languages and related areas. The technical program of the event will include invited talks, presentations of refereed papers, and system demonstrations.

WLP 2024 provides a forum for exchanging ideas on declarative logic programming, constraint logic programming, non-monotonic reasoning, knowledge representation, and facilitates interactions between research in theoretical foundations and the design, implementation and application of (constraint) logic-based systems.

Der allgemeinverständliche Beitrag gibt anhand der Historie der Künstlichen Intelligenz einen Überblick über wichtige Ansätze und Methoden und diskutiert dann mögliche gesellschaftliche Auswirkungen der derzeitigen und künftig zu erwartenden Künstlichen Intelligenz. Er wird in der Schriften-Reihe "Robotik und Recht" erscheinen.

Prof. Dr. Dietmar Seipel gehört seit dem 01.01.2020 zum Lehrstuhl für Informatik VI. Gleichzeitig wird der Lehrstuhl umbenannt in "Künstliche Intelligenz und Wissenssysteme" (Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Systems). Prof. Dr. Andreas Hotho, der seit 2009 die DMIR-Gruppe am Lehrstuhl VI vertrat, bekommt ab dem 27.5.2019 einen eigenen Lehrstuhl Informatik X (Data Science).

Basierend auf Messwerten von Sensoren und äußeren

Rahmenbedingungen wie Wetterdaten sollen Heizungsanlagen überwacht und

eventuelle Anomalien erkannt werden, auf deren Grundlage ihre

Einstellungen optimiert werden können.
