New Frontiers of OC
New Frontiers of Organic Computing 2027 - Workshop
Over two days, researchers will explore the current state and future directions of Organic Computing — from foundational concepts of self-adaptive and self-organizing systems to human-centered approaches at the intersection with human-computer interaction. The program combines invited talks by Anthony Stein, Sven Tomforde, and Sebastian von Mammen with participant pitches, one-on-one braindates, and collaborative breakout sessions aimed at mapping the field's new frontiers and seeding joint publications, proposals, and collaborations.
Participants are asked to submit a short pitch deck by 1 April 2027, covering their research direction, ties to HCI, targeted applications, and their perspective on New Frontiers topics. Further instructions are listed below.
The workshop will close its first day with a shared dinner and a traditional Brückenschoppen in Würzburg's old town — a glass of Franconian wine at sunset on the Alte Mainbrücke.
We look forward to welcoming you in Würzburg!
