1st International Workshop on Trade-offs in Consumer Communications: Security, Usability, Privacy, Efficiency, and Resilience (TraCoCo'27)
04.01.2027The 1st International Workshop on Trade-offs in Consumer Communications: Security, Usability, Privacy, Efficiency, and Resilience (TraCoCo'27) addresses the urgent need to develop a holistic understanding of these trade-offs in the era of AI-enabled infrastructures and takes place in conjunction with IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference 2027 on 9. - 12. January 2027 in Las Vegas, NV, USA.
In the rapidly evolving landscape of communication networks, performance can no longer be assessed solely through traditional network-centric metrics such as throughput, latency, or Quality of Service (QoS). Increasingly, application- and user-centric dimensions such as usability, security, resilience, privacy, and efficiency determine whether networked systems can be trusted, adopted, and operated in the long term. Yet these objectives are tightly interdependent and frequently conflicting, making their joint assessment and practical balancing a central challenge for next-generation networking. This Workshop on consumer communications including Security, Usability, Privacy, Efficiency, and Resilience (TraCoCo) dimensions addresses the urgent need to develop a holistic understanding of these trade-offs in the era of AI-enabled infrastructures.
