Details:
Ohenewa completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Media Communication at the University of Würzburg. During her Master’s studies, she worked as a student research assistant at the Chair of Computer Science V on the project “(Anti-) Discrimination in the Workplace: Changing Perspectives through Virtual Reality,” in collaboration with the Denkfabrik Diversität. As part of her Master’s thesis, she investigated how non-native speakers evaluate Foreigner-Directed Speech (FDS) delivered by Intelligent Virtual Agents (IVAs).
From May 2024 to May 2025, she worked as a research assistant for the transformation experiment “WueMue: Waste Separation, Avoidance, and Recycling at the JMU”.
Since June 2025, she has been pursuing her PhD within the DFG-funded project “RETRAIN: Investigating the Effects and Potential of VR Interventions to Reduce Real-World Racial Bias Using Intelligent Virtual Agents.”
