Tobias Mikschl studied computer science at the University of Würzburg and received his diploma in 2013. In his thesis he extended a real-time operating system to work on radiation-hard fpga hardware. After his thesis Tobias decided to join the research group around Prof. Dr. Montenegro. His main research area are distributed, embedded software systems for space applications, but his personal interest extends to the whole field of aerospace technology.
Tobias is leader of the project YETE and responsible for the development of low level software for the payload computer of the BIROS satellite.
