Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Sangyoung Park and Kil Young Lee from the Smart Mobility Systems Group, Technische Universität Berlin for an inspiring exchange on several research topics including transportation electrification and fleet energy consumption modeling.

Our latest study analyzes how dynamic electricity tariffs affect the economic performance of residential PV-battery systems. Using data from 448 households, we show that dynamic day-ahead pricing can noticeably improve annual savings and overall system profitability.

Our new study presents a novel method for predicting the average performance of heat pumps across all buildings in a city using an unpaired dataset of heat pump electricity and gas smart meter data. This research enables a fully data-driven evaluation of heat pump performance.
