Collecting glyphs at PhilTag 2016
02/10/2016This year's PhilTag 13 is hosted by Würzburg University Library as part of the Kallimachos project. We'll be at the OCR workshop, presenting Glyph Miner. This is a tool for locating glyphs in early modern prints, developed at our chair.
Our tool combines template matching with active learning in order to extract large numbers of glyphs from early prints. Such data is relevant for the training of OCR systems.
