Kick-off meeting of the DFG priority programme "Volunteered Geographic Information"
11/27/2016The project partners of the DFG priority programme "Volunteered Geographic Information" met in Würzburg to kick off the project. From our chair, two researchers (Thomas van Dijk and Sabine Storandt) are engaged in the programme.
During the two-day meeting, the project partners got to know each other better and presented their projects to the other participants. Based on this, they defined common interests and goals and determined possible future collaborations. In addition, it was decided to organize a summer school to be hold next year. In its external communication, the priority programme will in the future use the acronym "VGIScience".
