This year, for the first time, the faculty for Mathematics and Computer Science held a New Year's reception. With roughly 70 participants, the event was nearly sold out. The evening began with a tour through the historical wine cellar of the Würzburg residence. Then, the participants were presented six wines from the Staatlicher Hofkeller winery for a tasting.

The wine tasting offered many opportunities to communicate and exchange ideas between colleagues and alumni. In between, the dean, Prof. Alexander Wolff, reported on recent developments regarding the faculty. We thank Michaela Thiel, the alumni representative of the University, for organizing this great evening and for providing the photos.

All members of the faculty and all alumni can register with the alumni network of the universtity free of charge and will then be informed about events like this automatically.
