1992 - 2008Director of Steinbeis-Center "Applied Computer and Software Engineering", dealing with technology transfer of modern information processing techniques, advanced control and telecommunication systems to industry.
1990 - 2002Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten, with emphasis on Robotics, Control Engineering, Autonomous Systems.
1985 - 1990Space Division of Dornier System GmbH (now EADS/Astrium): Head of "Mission- and System analysis" section: Management of studies concerning advanced design of interplanetary satellites. Responsibility for Phase-A-studies, including "Cassini / Huygens-Titan descent probe” and "Rosetta / Comet Nucleus Sample Return".
1981 - 1985Research collaborator, University of Bayreuth: Research and teaching in Numerical Mathematics, Control and Optimisation; Author of several scientific publications and one book about numerical methods in nonlinear functional analysis, optimal control theory and applications. Scholarships for research stays in Israel (Weizmann Institute, Rehovot), Australia (Australian National Uni, Uni Melbourne) and Austria (IIASA Laxenburg).
