Where to Submit? Helping Researchers to Choose the Right Venue

We are happy to announce that our short paper "Where to Submit? Helping Researchers to Choose the Right Venue" was accepted for publication in Findings of EMNLP. This new publication outlet is trialed at EMNLP 2020 to allow researchers to publish their papers that did not quite make it to the main EMNLP conference but still had good reviews and a robust contribution.

Where to Submit, or short WTS, is a neural network based NLP system that recommends scientific venues, i.e. conferences and journals, based on a paper's title, abstract, and/or keywords. Researchers can then find fitting venues to consider for submission of their current papers. Also, our method gives an explanation why a certain venue was chosen by highlighting the most important words that led to a given recommendation.

We are currently preparing the camera-ready paper and will soon publish a web demonstration to make this system available to everyone who wants to try it.
