Harald Wehnes honored with the Albert Endres Award

Prof. Dr. Harald Wehnes, Chair of Computer Science III, was honored for his work in the field of digital sovereignty.

On May 15, 2026, Prof. Dr. Harald Wehnes received the Albert Endres Award from the German Chapter of the ACM (GChACM). This award recognizes members’ contributions to computer science in general and their commitment to the GChACM in particular. Prof. Wehnes was awarded the prize for his work in the field of digital sovereignty, which is “characterized by scientific excellence and social responsibility,” according to the laudator and Vice President of the GChACM Gerhard Müller.

The Executive Board of the Institute of Computer Science extends its warmest congratulations to their colleague on this outstanding honor.

The award ceremony took place during the GChACM's annual event in Neckarsulm.
